Search continues for missing Oak Park woman

Dec. 2, 2015 – The search for a missing 48-year-old Oak Park woman continues, with Police asking for the public’s help finding the divorced mother of three.

Alicia H. Yaus, of the 500 block of Forest Avenue, was last seen at about 3 p.m., Sat., Nov. 28, in the vicinity of Chicago and Harlem avenues. She was reported missing by her family early Sunday morning.

Police have since learned that she may have been in the vicinity of Harlem Avenue and 16th Street in Berwyn about two hours after the time she was last seen in Oak Park.

She was last seen driving a dark blue Volvo XC70 wagon with Illinois license plate A23 4609. Police are using national and state databases to search for the vehicle.

In addition, Police have disseminated an emergency missing person alert to law enforcement agencies across the region, including Dupage, Will, Lake and Cook counties.

Yaus is described as 5-feet, 7-inches tall, 130 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair. She has a tattoo of a Japanese animation character on the back of her neck and may be wearing prescription eyeglasses.

When last seen she was wearing a black coat, black shirt, blue jeans and Ugg boots.
