Police seek two in attempted carjacking

March, 23, 2018 – Oak Park Police are investigating an attempted carjacking that was reported at about 2:15 p.m., Fri., March 23 in the 400 block of North Kenilworth Avenue.

The victim told Police she was sitting in her vehicle when two men approached. One man displayed a handgun and demanded she get out. She said she refused and was pulled out, but would not surrender the vehicle.

The offenders then fled the scene in a silver, older sedan that was parked directly across the street, she said.

The victim, who sustained a minor abrasion but did not require medical attention, described the men as African American in their mid-20s. No other details were provided.
