Don't miss A Day in Our Village on June 5

May 26, 2022 – Excitement is building for the return of Oak Park’s A Day in Our Village festival following a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The premier community event will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the familiar confines of Scoville Park by Lake Street and Oak Park Avenue.

More than 120 activity booths representing Oak Park civic, cultural, social service, educational, religious and business organizations will fill the park along with live performances and a food court featuring local restaurants.

First held in 1973, A Day in Our Village has long provided an opportunity to showcase the diversity and variety of ways to get involved in community life. This will mark the 47th time the event has been held after being canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.

A Day in Our Village is organized and sponsored by the Village and made possible thanks to support from the A Day in Our Village volunteer committee. Volunteers are needed to assist during the day of the event, especially from around 3 to 4:30 p.m.

Mills Park, located at 217 S. Home Ave., will also offer an array of family-friendly activities from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. hosted by the Park District of Oak Park. More information is available on the Park District website.
