Tuesday, March 18, 2014  ::   Fifteen artists are being sought for mural projects to continue the transformation of the railroad retaining walls along the Green Line corridor from dull, blank concrete into canvases. Each artist will earn a $1,000 stipend.
Wednesday, March 12, 2014  ::   Oak Park Police are conducting special traffic patrols and stepped-up enforcement in the days leading up to St. Patrick’s Day, March 17. Officers will be looking for impaired and unbuckled drivers.
Monday, March 10, 2014  ::   Disability rights advocate Andrea Ott was introduced Monday by President Anan Abu-Taleb as his choice for Village Trustee during a special event at Oak Park and River Forest High School.
Friday, February 28, 2014  ::   Vehicle owners now can request up to 10 temporary, overnight on-street parking passes per vehicle per month - three are free and the other seven are $7 each. Requests for both free and paid passes can be made online.
Friday, February 28, 2014  ::   With yet another measurable snowfall likely, residents are urged to be prepared should the snow emergency rules be implemented and on-street parking restricted to give crews room to plow and salt.
Monday, February 17, 2014  ::   Oak Park's snow emergency parking plan is in effect beginning at 10 p.m., tonight, Mon., Feb. 17. Parking is prohibited on designated snow routes and restricted to one side on all other streets.
