Monday, October 4, 2021  ::   For the second year in a row, members of the Oak Park Police Department are showing support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October by wearing special pink patches throughout the month in support of survivors and those currently facing the disease.

Monday, September 27, 2021  ::   The CDC is recommending that people age 65 and older, residents in long-term care settings and people age 50 to 64 with underlying medical conditions get a booster shot of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine at least six months after completing their initial Pfizer vaccination series.
Tuesday, September 14, 2021  ::   Oak Park health officials are calling on residents to work together to limit COVID-19 related disruptions in the community, particularly in schools where students who test positive miss out on in-person instruction as a result of needing to quarantine.
Monday, August 30, 2021  ::   The Desplaines Valley Mosquito Abatement District has scheduled spraying in Oak Park from about 9 p.m. to midnight, Wed., Sept. 1, weather permitting. Spraying is intended to help reduce the number of mosquitoes that carry West Nile virus.

Tuesday, August 17, 2021  ::   Oak Park Police are investigating a shooting reported shortly before 5 p.m., today (Aug. 17) on Harlem Avenue near Garfield Street. The victim was stopped in traffic when another vehicle pulled up alongside and fired multiple rounds.
Tuesday, August 10, 2021  ::   Fresh-picked corn from Oak Park Farmers' Market growers will be sold by the ear hot off the roaster from about 9:30 a.m. until the corn is sold out this Saturday at the Market's annual Corn Roast in the Pilgrim Church parking lot at 460 Lake St.
