The Oak Park Police Department is reviving a program to gather feedback from citizens who have had a recent encounter with an officer.
Being interviewed by a police officer after a crime or traffic incident can involve stressful, potentially negative situations. While Oak Park Police officers always strive to be professional, courteous and respectful when responding to calls for assistance, the callback program offers police supervisors a tool to make sure the needs of residents are being fully met.
Police officials say feedback gained through the callback program will be used to improve the department’s services and identify areas for training. Residents who wish to provide unsolicited feedback may contact the Police Department at 708.386.3800 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
