Join your neighbors, Climate Ready Oak Park and the Oak Park Public Library's Book Bike for a community bike ride through Oak Park at 8 a.m. this Saturday.
The bike route will begin at Village Hall, 123 Madison St., and end at OPRF High School, where riders can enjoy snacks and conversation at the IGOV Sustainability Forum. Safety first! Helmets are required and reusable water bottles are encouraged.
From the Community Bike Ride event organizers: "We’re organizing this ride (first in a series) to encourage road-sharing, sustainable commuting, and community engagement. All ages & abilities are invited to join on your own wheels & cruise the blocks many of us call home with the OPPL’s Book Bike! Each ride will make one rest stop at site relevant to local POC history."
This event is weather permitting. For information regarding inclement weather cancellations, check www.oakpark.librarycalendar.com/event/book-bike-community-bike-ride
