Friday, October 25, 2013  ::   A 91-year-old Oak Park man was killed Thursday night when the three-wheeled cycle he was riding was struck by a car at Scoville Avenue and Madison Street.
Tuesday, October 15, 2013  ::   Illinois Transportation Secretary Ann Schneider will be at Gwendolyn Brooks Middle School on Oct. 29 to talk about plans to rebuild I-290. The public meeting, hosted by State Senator Don Harmon, is scheduled for 7:30 to 9 p.m.
Thursday, October 10, 2013  ::   The Oak Park Police Department has been selected to participate in Police Station Visitors Week, an annual competition Nov. 3 - 9 that invites residents, community groups and local leaders into police stations around the country.
Monday, October 7, 2013  ::   The Village has created an online forum to informally gauge residents’ views on the state's plans to reconfigure I-290 through Oak Park.The webpage is intended to help the Village Board better understand how the community feels about IDOT plans.
Wednesday, October 2, 2013  ::   Residents are urged to participate in IDOT public meetings on plans to reconfigure the Eisenhower Expressway through Oak Park. Meetings are set for 5 to 8 p.m., Oct. 7 in Chicago and Oct. 8 in Forest Park.
Thursday, September 26, 2013  ::   Paying for parking in any of more than 4,000 public spaces throughout the Village will get a lot more convenient come Oct. 7, as Oak Park launches a new program that accepts payment via a smartphone app or toll-free telephone call.
