OPFD Receives Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation® Grant

As first responders continue serving the Village of Oak Park, it is essential that the fire department has the tools needed to respond effectively in emergencies. The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation® has recognized this need and recently awarded the department a nearly $32,000 grant to purchase a Solo Rescue Decon Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Washer and accessories.

Structure Fire at 1239 N. Taylor Ave. in Oak Park

The Oak Park Fire Department responded to a significant structure fire on the 1200 block of N. Taylor Ave. at approximately 8:57 p.m. on Tues., Feb. 17. The fire continued until Wednesday morning just before approximately 7 a.m.
