Energy Efficiency Workshop: Shared Savings

Next date: Tuesday, April 07, 2026 | 03:30 PM to 05:00 PM

This session breaks down the “split-incentive” barrier to show how commercial building owners and their tenants can build a shared path towards lower utility costs and increase building value. Common themes identified from building owner and tenant workshops will be shared to build bridges and shared opportunities for building efficiency. Both building owners and tenants are invited to join this session.

Key session takeaways include:

  • Breaking Barriers: Join a discussion to solve common hurdles to energy efficiency investments between building owners and tenants, and how to turn them into opportunities for shared success.
  • Owner/Tenant Collaboration Strategies: Align tenant energy use and interests with building owner-led improvements that unlock long-term savings.
  • Overcoming the Split Incentive: Learn about funding opportunities that will reduce energy-efficiency investments and strategies to share costs and savings of efficient investments

This workshop will take place from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Oak Park Public Library, 834 Lake St.
