Ad Hoc Housing Taskforce

Mission: The Ad Hoc Housing Task Force was created by the Village Board in September 2026 to bring together representatives of multiple current Village commissions and committees to make unified recommendations to the Village Board on several key next steps to the Shape Oak Park recommendations. In particular, the Taskforce will: 

  • Review and recommend changes to the Village's Inclusionary Housing Ordinance. 
  • Review and recommend a pattern book or other pre-approved plans for housing development.
  • Review and recommend loans, programs, grant programs, fee waivers, or other financial incentives to encourage housing production that is affordable, including affordability for households earning between 120% of AMI and 80% of AMI.
  • Review and recommend changes to the Village’s building codes to encourage housing production in a timely manner.
  • As needed, make recommendations on any additional modifications to the Village’s zoning code needed to further implementation of other recommendations.

Membership: 11 members, plus two (2) ex officio members of the Village Board

  • Member from the Historic Preservation Commission (1): Asha Andriana

  • Members with economic development/ real estate experience (3): Bob Tucker; Michael Bailey; TBA (1) 
  • Ex officio members of the Village Board (2): Trustee Cory Wesley; Trustee Jenna Leving Jacobson

Qualifications: The membership of the Ad Hoc Housing Task Force brings together representatives of multiple current Village commissions and committees, as well as community members with economic development and real estate experience.

Length of Term: The Ad Hoc Housing Task Force will run for six (6) months with the possibility of additional meetings as needed.

Meeting Schedule: Meets on the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at Village Hall, 123 Madison St, with special meetings in the interim if needed. If a special meeting is needed, it will likely be on Friday mornings at 9:30 a.m., at Village Hall.
