Friday, January 27, 2017  ::   With interest growing in potential development plans for the property located at 1000 Lake Street, Village officials took steps Friday to clarify the plan development process.
Wednesday, January 25, 2017  ::   An open house set for 6:30 to 9 p.m., Wed., Feb. 8 at Village Hall, 123 Madison St. will offer residents and business operators an opportunity to learn about major improvements planned for Lake Street. Drop by any time during the open house to view exhibits, speak with Village staff and consultants, and comment on the project that could include the entire length of the important commercial roadway from Harlem Avenue to Austin Boulevard.
Tuesday, January 10, 2017  ::   In addition to paying at any parking meter or pay-by-space lot in the Village, residents and visitors now can also use the same convenient and easy-to-use Passport Parking app to secure an overnight on-street parking pass.
Monday, January 9, 2017  ::   Michael T. Charley has been named permanent Director of the Oak Park Department of Public Health. Charley oversees an operation that is one of only four state-certified municipal health departments in suburban Cook County.

Tuesday, December 27, 2016  ::   A new hybrid street crossing signal is now operating on Chicago Avenue at Harvey Avenue to improve safety for both pedestrians and bicyclists crossing the heavily traveled roadway.
Friday, December 23, 2016  ::   Planning and design work is set to begin for major improvements to Lake Street from Harlem Avenue to Austin Boulevard. Infrastructure at the end of its life cycle will be replaced and walkability, accessibility and traffic flow improved along this important Oak Park corridor.
Monday, December 19, 2016  ::   The Oak Park Police Department is working to raise public awareness of some common crimes of the season by offering tips to help reduce the chances of becoming a victim.
Tuesday, December 13, 2016  ::   When temperatures plunge, residents are urged to exercise caution if outdoors, and to check in on friends and neighbors. Warming centers are open at local hospitals, Township Senior Services and Village Hall.
