¡Viva! Festival update

With Hispanic Heritage Month underway, the Village of Oak Park is reinforcing its commitment to uplifting the contributions of Hispanic and Latino neighbors throughout the community. However, given the ongoing presence of federal immigration agents throughout the region, the Village’s annual ¡Viva! Festival will not take place as planned on Oct. 11 on the south lawn at Village Hall.

Tour de Proviso comes to Oak Park October 4

Now in its sixth year, Tour de Proviso is set to roll through Oak Park on Saturday, Oct. 4. Co-hosted in 2025 by the Village of Oak Park, the Village of Forest Park and the Village of River Forest, this free annual event is organized in partnership with Best of Proviso Township as it helps promote health and wellness throughout Proviso Township and its neighboring villages.

A Day in Our Village returns June 1 in Scoville Park

Oak Park’s celebration of diversity and community involvement returns with the 51st annual A Day in Our Village festival on Sunday, June 1. The premier community event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Scoville Park. More than 125 activity booths will fill the park along with live entertainment and a food court featuring local restaurants.

Oak Park Farmers' Market celebrates 50th season beginning May 17th

The Oak Park Farmers’ Market will open for a milestone season on May 17, celebrating 50 years of providing fresh, local food to the community. The Market takes place from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday from opening day through October at its longtime home in the Pilgrim Congregational Church parking lot at 460 Lake St., one block west of Ridgeland Avenue.

Civic Engagement Festival planned for May 4 at Village Hall

In celebration of Public Service Recognition Week and the 56th Annual Professional Municipal Clerks Week, the Village of Oak Park and Village Clerk Christina M. Waters will soon host a Civic Engagement Festival centered around the theme “Democracy in Action!” The event will take place on Sunday, May 4 from noon until 4 p.m. in the courtyard at Village Hall (123 Madison St.).
