Gas-Powered Leaf Blower Trade-In Event

The Village, in partnership with locally owned Ace Hardware stores, is offering exclusive financial incentives to help residents and registered landscape companies switch to cleaner, quieter, battery-powered leaf blowers.

Join us for the Gas-Powered Leaf Blower Trade-in Event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, and receive savings – available on a first-come, first-served basis at the following locations:

• Olson’s Ace Hardware, 1137 Chicago Ave.
• PJ’s Ace Hardware, 7 Chicago Ave.

The trade-in event is intended to help community members be prepared as the use of gas-powered leaf blowers will be permanently prohibited starting June 1, 2025. Click here for more information about leaf blower regulations.

Oak Park Residents (Save up to $70):

To receive a $50 voucher for the purchase of a battery-powered leaf blower, plus a $20 Ace gift card, follow these steps:

• Bring your old gas-powered leaf blower to one of the Ace locations during the event.
• Empty gas and oil before dropping off.
• Provide proof of Oak Park residency (driver’s license, ID, utility bill).
• Limit one trade-in voucher per household.

Registered Oak Park Landscape Companies (Save up to $120):

To receive a $100 voucher toward the purchase of a battery-powered leaf blower, plus a $20 Ace gift card, follow these steps:

• Bring your old gas-powered leaf blower to one of the Ace locations during the event.
• Empty gas and oil before dropping off.
• Check-in with an Ace Associate to verify your business shows registered with the Village.
• Limit one trade-in voucher per company.

Additional Offer – All May Long

Even if you can’t attend on May 31, you can still receive a $20 Ace gift card with the purchase of an electric leaf blower at the two locally owned Ace Hardware locations in Oak Park anytime in May.
