The Village of Oak Park is partnering with EnergySense Resilience Center (EnergySense) to drive community-wide energy efficiency.

The EnergySense team will be conducting in-depth energy assessments on five residential, commercial, and/or industrial properties to identify the most common and effective energy-saving measures. Based on these findings, the team will be developing practical educational workshops and resources for both tenants and landlords.

The goal is simple: to help property owners reduce utility costs and encourage successful tenant-landlord collaboration on energy use and efficiency.

Building Owners – Apply here for an energy assessment!

Building owners who receive an energy assessment will:

  • Reduce utility costs by identifying practical efficiency improvements for building systems, common areas, parking garages and more.
  • Prioritize smart upgrades by getting a clear, prioritized list of energy efficiency improvements, with estimated implementation costs, payback periods, and funding opportunities included.
  • Improve tenant comfort and retention by identifying solutions for building challenges, reducing tenant complaints and creating a more comfortable building environment.

With more than 20 years of experience assessing public and private sector buildings across the state of Illinois, the EnergySense team looks forward to providing support to building owners and residents throughout the Oak Park community.
