Celebrating one year of E.C.H.O.
Published on December 30, 2025
As the calendar turns to 2026, the Village is celebrating the positive impact generated during the first year of its E.C.H.O. program (Engaging Communities for Healthy Outcomes).
In the past 12 months, E.C.H.O. has become a vital bridge between residents and needed support, providing compassionate care coordination across the community.
By the end of 2025, E.C.H.O. completed more than 700 referrals, connecting residents with essential services including wellness checks, invalid assists and falls support, housing and homelessness assistance, warming and cooling center activation, extreme-weather supply kits, food and utility resources, truancy support, domestic violence services and behavioral health care.
Each referral represents a resident receiving timely, person-centered help when it matters most.
This impact would not be possible without the partnership of the Oak Park Police and Fire Departments, community-based organizations and the many residents who have trusted the E.C.H.O. team to assist them or their neighbors.
Looking ahead to 2026, E.C.H.O. remains committed to expanding its reach, strengthening collaboration and continuing to build a responsive, connected and supportive community for all Oak Park residents.
