Park(ing) Palooza - 2025 Park(ing) Day

The Village is joining communities around the globe in celebrating Park(ing) Day and transforming on-street parking spaces into temporary green spaces to showcase sustainability and economic vitality while advocating for safer, greener and more equitable streets.

Stop by between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19 as three parking spaces in front of 127 N. Marion St. in Downtown Oak Park will be repurposed into a temporary, park-like community gathering spot.

The Village’s Parking and Mobility Services will coordinating the fun with refreshments, music, fun activities, giveaways and more. Park(ing) Palooza highlights will include:

Triva (all day) – Play our parking-themed trivia game and win small prizes
Collaboration for Early Childhood (9 to 11 a.m.) – The Collaboration for Early Childhood will be on hand engaging families and hosting activities for kids.
