Black History Month Celebration 2023

The Village is hosting its third annual Black History Month Celebration on Feb. 8 at the Nineteenth Century Charitable Association, 178 Forest Ave. The doors will open at 10:30 a.m. with the program running from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The event features speakers, performers, interactive activities, music, refreshments and more while highlighting the 2025 Black History Month theme: African Americans and Labor.

The Black History Month Celebration is free to attend, however registration is required and all seats have been reserved at this time. Please email DEI@oak-park.us or call 708.358.5405 for more information.

Parking information

Parking for the Black History Month Celebration will be available in the Lake & Forest Parking Garage, 938 Lake St., conveniently located just south of The Nineteenth Century Charitable Association.
