Parking and Transportation

  • No designated parking is available for this event.
  • Participants are encouraged to bike, use public transportation, carpool or rideshare.
  • Limited street parking is available between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. on residential blocks near Village Hall, indicated in green on the map below. The blocks marked in yellow will be closed all day for the event.

T-Shirt Pick Up

  • Riders who registered prior to 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 14 are guaranteed to receive a 2025 Tour de Proviso event t-shirt
  • Riders who registered after the deadline above are not guaranteed a t-shirt. Those riders are encouraged to wear a forest green shirt or sweatshirt for route identification.

Pickup Information by Community

Shirts will be available to picked up in advance of Tour de Proviso on the following dates at locations listed. All riders should refer to the community that they listed on the registration form.

Participants may also pick up shirts on the day of the event, Oct. 4, beginning at 7 a.m. at the check-in tent on the Oak Park Village Hall's south lawn.

 

What to Wear

  • Rider t-shirt (if registered by 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 14) or forest green shirt/sweatshirt
  • Comfortable athletic clothing and footwear
  • Helmet, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen (as needed)

What to Bring

  • Water – riders are strongly encouraged to bring their own supply.

  • Water will be available, but there will be no bottle-filling stations along the routes.

 

Community Fair

The Village of Oak Park will host a Community Fair from 9 a.m. to noon on the south lawn at Village Hall. The fair will feature 20+ participants from across west Cook County, including elected officials, local organizations, businesses. There will be food vendors on site, with music also provided by a DJ.

The Oak Park Police Department will be on site offering bicycle registration for Oak Park residents. Residents who register their bicycles will receive a difficult-to-remove decal that will allow easy identification should a registered bicycle be stolen and later recovered. The decal also serves as a deterrent to thieves because the bicycle can be easily traced to its owner.
