Election Dates for the April 1, 2025 Consolidated Election

On the April 1, 2025 ballot, residents of the Village of Oak Park will be asked to vote for Village President, Village Clerk, three Village Trustees, two Park District Commissioners and four Library Trustees. The ballot will also contain offices for school district and township officials. For more information about the election, including election results, visit the Cook County Clerk's website.

Early Voting Information

Suburban Cook County voters may cast an early vote for the upcoming April 1, 2025 Consolidated Election at Village Hall, 123 Madison St. as follows:

  • Mon., March 17 – Sat., March 22: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sun., March 23: 10 am. to 4 p.m.
  • Mon., March 24 – Sat., March 29: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sun., March 30: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Mon., March 31: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Election Day, Tues., April 1, Residents must cast ballots at their designated polling place –click here to find your polling place. Village Hall is not a polling place on Election Day.

Voters are asked to enter Village Hall via the courtyard entrance on Madison Street. Voters who park in the main lot will be directed to walk around the outside of the building to enter from the courtyard.

Village Hall will offer grace-period registration during Early Voting hours for those who missed the registration deadline.

Individuals wishing to vote during Early Voting must bring two pieces of identification to register, one with a current address.

Registrants must immediately cast their ballot after registering to vote.

Q: Does Oak Park participate in the Primary Consolidated Election scheduled on Feb. 25?
A: No, Oak Park only participates in the Consolidated Election in 2025 scheduled to take place on Tuesday, April 1.

Q: What is a Consolidated Election?
A: It is an opportunity for people to vote in local elections. Consolidated Elections take place the first Tuesday of April every “odd-numbered” year. Only if and when required, will a Primary Election occur the last Tuesday of February that same year.

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a lottery will be conducted in Room 201 (Council Chambers) at Oak Park Village Hall, 123 Madison Street, Oak Park, on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. by the Village Clerk of the Village of Oak Park to determine the order of candidates who simultaneously filed petitions at the 9:00 a.m. opening time for petition filing on Tuesday November 12, 2024 and who simultaneously filed petitions within the last hour for petition filing on Monday November 18, 2024, for the April 1, 2025 Consolidated Election ballot.

Anyone who filed after 9:00 a.m. on November 12 and before 3:59 p.m. on November 18 will be on the ballot in the order they turned in their nomination paperwork.

The lottery shall be in accordance with Section 6.2, of the Illinois Election Code, 10 ILCS 5/10-6.2 and the rules promulgated by the Illinois State Board of Elections.

The result of the lottery will determine the order in which candidates participating in the lottery appear on the ballot.  Notification to candidates will be provided at the email address presented at filing.

The lottery is open to the public and all are welcome to attend and observe.
