Residents interested in learning all about the upcoming project to reconstruct, restore and renew Lake Street from Harlem Avenue to Austin Boulevard are invited to attend this open-house-style meeting at the Nineteenth Century Club, 178 Forest Ave.
Representatives from the Village and the engineering contractor will be on hand to provide an overview of the project, discuss details and answer questions. The project, which will include new sidewalks, lighting, signals, landscaping, furniture and resurfacing, could get underway by early March with water and sewer work between Grove and Euclid avenues.
