Earth Fest

Earth Fest 2017 is April 22!

The 8th annual Earth Fest is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sat., April 22, in the Public Works Center, 201 South Blvd. 

Event highlights this year include free face painting, 15-minute kids yoga classes at 10:15 and 10:45 a.m., a cupcake truck and a wide variety of free giveaways and green goods for sale. 

In addition, the event will feature tours of the LEED Gold-certified Public Works facility, with a behind-the-scenes look at service delivery and opportunities for children to sit in big trucks and other cool equipment. 

Attendees will be able to stop by Information booths highlighting local environmental organizations and initiatives such as green living, gardening and building. Booths for recycling eyeglasses, sun glasses, hearing aids, are also part of the event, and the organization Working Bikes will also be collecting used bikes in almost any condition provided they are still ridable.

Attendees who ride their bike to Earth Fest will receive $5 off membership to the Oak Park Cycle Club.

About Earth Fest

Earth Fest is the the Village’s annual celebration of green living and learning. Held each year at the LEED® Gold-certified Public Works Center, the event focuses on green neighborhoods, sustainable lifestyles and best practices. Highlights include eco-friendly vendors, local chefs and restaurants, games and activities for children, items for sale, and entertainment. In addition, recycling booths will be available for eyeglasses, sun glasses and hearing aids.
