This is the final market of the season.
Traditional stone soup made from Farmers' Market vegetables and prepared on site by Eyrie Restaurant will be ladled up from about 9 a.m. until the pot is empty.
Miss Genevieve from the Oak Park Public Library will offer a special stone soup story time at 11 a.m., with songs and plenty of fun for all ages. The Library's Book Bike also will be on hand.
Volunteers from the children's museum Wonder Works will offer free face painting from 8 a.m. to noon.
The Farmers' Market, which celebrated its 40th season this year, is held in the parking lot of the Pilgrim Congregational Church on Lake Street just west of Ridgeland Avenue.
