The Oak Park Farmers' Market offers high quality, locally grown produce in the friendly, historic Village of Oak Park. The market is held in the Pilgrim Church Parking lot at 460 Lake St., just one block west of Ridgeland Avenue. Market hours are 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday from opening day through October.
Special event: University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners are scheduled to host a childrens' activity, including a watershed model demo, worm bin and seed bombs.
This week's guest vendor: Brian Severson Farms
Brian Severson Farms will bring its organic Amish seed popcorn, wheat, oats, flour and corn from Grundy County to the Oak Park Farmer's Market. Family-owned since 1866, Severson Farm is known for its seed-to-plate organic and non-GMO grains, including several heirloom varieties.
