Monday, April 27, 2020  ::   Oak Park Police are investigating a vehicle hijacking that occurred at about 9:45 a.m. today near Cuyler Avenue and Madison Street.The victim, a 64-year-old Chicago woman, did not require medical attention.

Wednesday, April 22, 2020  ::   A 30-year-old Oak Park woman was shot in the leg during an attempted armed robbery at about at about 4:30 p.m., yesterday (April 21) in the 100 block of North Lombard Avenue. She was transported to Loyola Medical Center in Maywood with what was believed to be a non-life threatening injury.
Wednesday, April 22, 2020  ::   The Village is marking the 50th anniversary of Earth Day by announcing that Oak Park is launching Illinois’ first residential community solar pilot program later this year.
Friday, April 10, 2020  ::   With the increase in health and safety precautions being taken during the COVID-19 emergency, the Public Works Department is advising residents that personal protective equipment (PPE) is not recyclable and should be discarded in the trash.
Thursday, April 2, 2020  ::   Oak Park Public Health Director Mike Charley announced today the first death of an Oak Park resident likely related to the COVID-19 coronavirus. Final cause of death will be determined by the Cook County Medical Examiner.
Friday, March 20, 2020  ::   The Village will defer to the state now that the Governor has issued a stay-at-home order order that goes into effect at 5 p.m. Sat., March 21. Oak Park will exclusively follow state guidelines for enforcement.
