From Oct. 19 to Nov. 2, Village Hall will be one of 50 sites for secure dropboxes where mail ballots can be delivered directly to the Cook County Clerk’s Office, not using the United States Postal Service.
The ballot box will accessible in the Village Hall courtyard only during early voting hours (see section above) because of strict security measures required by the county to ensure ballot security.
The ballot box will be emptied nightly by county employees, ballots will be timestamped and emails sent to voters to let them know their ballot was received as long as they provided an email when they registered for their mail ballot.
Voters who park in the main lot will be required to walk around the outside of the building to enter from the courtyard.
