North and South Boulevard Construction

Work will begin June 11 on a project that will repair and replace deteriorating water and sewer mains along North Boulevard and South Boulevard between Marion Street and Oak Park Avenue.

Plans call for water and sewer improvements on North Boulevard between Forest and Kenilworth avenues, including under the Clinton Avenue viaduct. Affected roadways also will be completely reconstructed, and North Boulevard restriped to accommodate a new bike lane from Kenilworth Avenue to Oak Park Avenue.

The South Boulevard work will include lighting improvements, sidewalk repairs and street resurfacing as well as minor sewer repairs between Marion Street and Home Avenue.

The project will require periodic closures of both North Boulevard and South Boulevard. Project updates will be posted here as they become available.

Note that there will be no disruptions to garbage collection dates or location during construction.

For questions related to the project, contact project engineer Andy McDonald at 630.557.6285 or amcdonald@v3co.com.
