Monday, October 26, 2020  ::   New restrictions are set to go into effect Nov. 20 in Oak Park and across the state to help slow the spread of COVID-19, including reducing capacity in retail stores and prohibiting group fitness classes.

Thursday, October 22, 2020  ::   A shortened annual fall leaf collection program for 2020 is scheduled for Nov. 2 – Dec. 10 with six pickups planned for each section of the Village. Leaves should be raked into the street at least 18 inches from the curb the day before the scheduled pickup dates.

Wednesday, September 9, 2020  ::   Forensic evidence has linked a deceased Cicero man to the February 2018 murder of 77-year-old Sergio Quiano whose body was found in his apartment in the 1000 block of North Boulevard. The suspect had died by the time a DNA link was made.
Friday, September 4, 2020  ::   The Desplaines Valley Mosquito Abatement District has scheduled the second round of spraying in Oak Park from about 9 p.m. to midnight, Thurs., Sept. 3, weather permitting. Spraying is intended to help reduce the number of mosquitoes that carry West Nile virus.
