Sept. 11, 2024 - The Village Clerk’s Office is hosting a series of events to register new voters and assist those who may be new to Oak Park or have recently changed addresses within the community.
The events are taking place on the following dates and times:
- Sat., Sept. 14:
10 a.m. to noon at the Oak Park Farmers’ Market, 460 Lake St.
- Tues., Sept. 17 (National Voter Registration Day):
Noon to 2 p.m. at Village Hall, 123 Madison St.
6 to 8 p.m. at Kinfolk CoLab, 405 S. Euclid Ave.
- Sun., Sept. 22:
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Park District of Oak Park Fall Fest, Rehm Park, 1000 S. Scoville Ave.
- Wed., Oct. 2
4 to 8 p.m. at the Oak Park Public Library Veterans Room, 834 Lake St.
Residents can also register to vote in local, state and federal elections at at Oak Park Village Hall, 123 Madison St., by appointment. To schedule an appointment, please email Clerk@oak-park.us or call 708-358-5670.
Online registration is available a ova.elections.il.gov/.
Voter registration requires two types of identification, at least one with the current address. A driver's license or picture ID is preferred, along with an additional item such as a lease or utility bill.
Residents can also register to vote at the Oak Park Public Library, Oak Park Township, Cook County Clerk and Illinois Secretary of State offices.
