Divvy services to end in Oak Park

Jan. 18, 2018 – Oak Park’s withdrawal from the Divvy bike-sharing program means beginning Tues., Jan. 23, riders will no longer be able to pick up or drop off bicycles in the Village.

The Village Board voted this week not to continue the Divvy service here, citing low ridership and the costs of continuing to subsidize the program, which included some 130 bicycles at 13 locations across Oak Park.

Motivate, the company that operates the Divvy system across the Chicago area, is expected to notify all current Oak Park subscribers of the change in services. Inquiries can be directed to Divvy customer service at www.divvybikes.com/contact or 1.855.55.DIVVY (855.533.4889).

Oak Park began installing Divvy stations in June 2016.
