Body of Chicago teenager found in Oak Park alley

Update: Chicago man, woman charged with sex crimes, concealing body

Aug. 10, 2021 – A man and woman from Chicago have been charged in connection with the body of a Chicago teenager discovered Saturday morning in an alley in the 200 block of North Taylor Avenue.

Sergio Hernandez, 40, of the 3100 block of N. Austin Boulevard, was charged with criminal sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual abuse and concealment of a death.

Joslia Williams, 18, of the 1700 block of Menard Avenue, was charged with child pornography and concealment of a death.

The pair is being held in Cook County Jail in lieu of a $500,000 bond each.

Oak Park Police responding to a call at about 8:30 a.m., on Sat., Aug. 7, of a person down discovered the body of the young female, who was pronounced dead at the scene by Oak Park firefighter/paramedics who had responded to the call along with Police.

The deceased was later identified as a 15-year-old teenager who had been reported missing to Chicago Police at about 11:30 a.m. on the same day her body was discovered.

The cause and manner of the teenager’s death is pending the results of toxicology reports from the Cook County Medical Examiner.

Responding to a call at about 8:30 a.m., Aug. 7, of a person down, officers discovered the body, which was pronounced dead at the scene by Oak Park firefighter/paramedics who had responded to the call along with Police.

The body was taken by the Cook County Medical Examiner to determine cause of death.

The body later was identified as that of a 15-year-old Chicago teenager believed to have been reported missing.
