This week at the Farmers' Market:
Celebrate National Farmers' Market Week by paying a visit to the Oak Park Farmers' Market's annual Corn Roast! Guests can enjoy fresh-picked corn sold by the ear hot off the roaster from about 8:30 a.m. to noon or whenever the corn runs out. Be sure to bring cash as credit cards are not accepted when purchasing roasted corn, which is sold for $2 per ear. This year's Corn Roast is also a zero-waste event, meaning all the corn cobs and wrap material can be composted. The non-GMO sweet corn is provided by five Farmers' Market vendors. Proceeds benefit the Farmers' Market
The Oak Park Farmers' Market is held every Saturday from opening day through October in the Pilgrim Congregational Church parking lot at 460 Lake Street.
