Arbor Day Celebration

Friday, April 28, 2017 - 10:00am to 4:00pm

Join the Village of Oak Park and the Park District of Oak Park for an Arbor Day Celebration at the Oak Park Conservatory, 615 Garfield St.

10 a.m. (as supplies last): 500 tree seedlings giveaway (Burr Oak, Sugar Maple and Tuliptree). First come, first served - one tree per family.

10 a.m - noon: Free preschool nature craft – Kids can create a beautiful tree to take home.

Noon: Ask the tree expert – Rob Sproule, forestry superintendent for the Village of Oak Park, will be on hand to provide tips on how to care for trees and answer questions from residents.

10 a.m. – 4 p.m. - Discover the sights and sounds of the Oak Park Conservatory.

All Day: Trees at the Conservatory, neighboring Rehm Park, and Austin Gardens will be tagged by the Community Design Commision with Arbor Day Tree Tags. These tags are provided by the Morton Arboretum and feature the many benefits provided by our local trees.
