Friday, January 22, 2016  ::   Officials representing Oak Park’s six government taxing bodies will gather Saturday (Jan. 23) for the third annual InterGovernmental Assembly to share information, discuss potential collaborative opportunities and talk about present and future challenges.
Sunday, January 3, 2016  ::   First grade classrooms are invited to adopt an Oak Park firefighter to teach classes about fire safety. The firefighters, who come with personal adoption certificates, then visit the classroom four times throughout the school year.
Saturday, December 5, 2015  ::   A child care worker was charged today with one count of Aggravated Battery of a Child in connection with an injury sustained Wednesday by an eight-month old in her care at Oak Park Montessori, 937 Garfield St.
Friday, December 4, 2015  ::   Residents and visitors will find a range of activities in Oak Park this weekend. Parking is free in the garages and for two hours at bagged meters and pay by space lots downtown and in sections of south Oak Park.
Wednesday, December 2, 2015  ::   Forest Park Police today found a body matching the description of Oak Park resident Alicia H. Yaus who had been missing since the afternoon of Sat. Nov. 28. The body was found at about 3:30 p.m. in a vehicle parked in a secluded area behind a building in an industrial area near 15th Street and Circle Avenue.
Wednesday, December 2, 2015  ::   The search for a missing 48-year-old Oak Park woman continues, with Police asking for the public’s help finding the divorced mother of three. Police have since learned that she may have been in the vicinity of Harlem Avenue and 16th Street in Berwyn about two hours after the time she was last seen in Oak Park.

Monday, November 23, 2015  ::   The suspect in Sunday night’s kidnapping in Oak Park turned himself in at the Oak Park Police Station on Monday evening. He is being held in lieu of a $250,000 bond.
