The Historic Preservation Commission recommends the designation of Oak Park Historic Landmarks and Historic Districts, and properties in the National Register of Historic Places. The Commission considers compatibility of new development with long- range preservation of historic resources, and reviews applications for exterior changes and demolition for all locally designated Historic Landmarks and properties within Oak Park’s three historic districts. The Commission meets on the second Thursday of each month. Meetings are open to the public.
Oak Park offers a variety of services that can be accessed online from a computer, tablet or smart phone. Some of the services are managed directly by the Village, while others are third-party vendors authorized by the Village to conduct transactions.
