Special Event Coordination Any organization wishing to conduct a special event involving public property such as a run, walk or sidewalk sale in Oak Park, must apply for a special event permit. The purpose of the permit, which is available at no charge, is to give the Police and other departments the opportunity to consider any public safety ramifications of the event. Applicants may be required to provide insurance certification as well as reimbursement of any expenses incurred by the Village, such as protection, preparation or post-event cleanup. |
