Citizen Advisory Boards & Individual citizens can be part of the municipal government process by volunteering for one of the many citizens' advisory boards and Commissions that serve as vital sources of information critical to sound policymaking by the Village Board. The process begins with an application of interest. When vacancies occur on these advisory bodies, the Citizen Involvement Commission interviews those Villagers who have volunteered to serve, then makes recommendations to the Village President, who makes the formal Appointments with the consent of the Board of Trustees.
