Alarm Permits Alarms systems such as burglar, fire, hold-up and medical require installation and operation permits, whether in residential or business locations. Alarm permit fees are $25 for a residence and $50 for a commercial building. Permits must be renewed annually by October 1. Emergency contact information must be submitted with applications, and updated within 48 hours of any change.
