Alarm Permits Alarms systems such as burglar, fire, hold-up and medical require installation and operational permits, whether in residential or business locations. The fee for the initial permit is $15 for a residential alarm and $30 for a non-residential space. Annual renewals are $10. Alarm permits must be renewed annually by May 31. Emergency contact information must be submitted with applications, and updated within 48 hours of any change.
