Animal Control focuses on local animal welfare investigations, code enforcement, stray animal capture and wildlife management and control. With contracted assistance from the Animal Care League, 1011 Garfield St., in Oak Park, the division cares for, attempts the return of and promotes the adoption of stray and lost companion animals. Animal Control employs one full-time professionally trained animal control officer who address stray and wild animal problems. The division also licenses pets with an annual program.
