Traffic Control Enforcement
The primary function of the Police Department's Traffic Unit is the resolution of traffic-related issues. The Unit consists of one sergeant and two patrol officers, all of whom work under the direction of the Community Policing Commander. The sergeant also serves as the Department's liaison to the Parking and Traffic Commission, works with Village staff to evaluate traffic-related community safety issues and is responsible for coordination and movement of traffic at special events.
