Police Department The Police Department investigates reported criminal incidents. The Department operates under a community policing strategy that includes co-sponsoring safety programs through neighborhood meetings. With the assistance of non-sworn officers and civilian personnel, the Department operates the school crossing guard program, conducts security examinations of multi-family residences, and oversees citizen volunteer programs.
