Downtown Sub Area - Public Planning Process Colt Building, Downtown Sub Area Public Planning Process Nearing Conclusion A public process to create neighborhood and community consensus for appropriate redevelopment of the Colt Building, 1125-1135 Lake St. and 1144-1150 Westgate St., and the downtown superblock bounded by Lake Street, South Boulevard, Harlem Avenue and Marion Street, is nearing conclusion. The steering committee comprised of citizens, elected officials, Village Planning staff, historic preservation interests and other affected groups that oversaw the public planning process, is scheduled to make its recommendations to the Village Board in meetings on Oct. 20 and 27, in Room 101 of Village Hall, 123 Madison St. Both meetings are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Agendas for additional meetings that may be scheduled will be posted along the right margin of this page.
