Law The Village Attorney and Law Department staff serves as counsel to the Village President and Board of Trustees and all other Village entities. The Law Department directs the services of, and acts as liaison to, all outside counsel retained by the Village. In-house legal counsel prepares and reviews all legal documents and ordinances, enforces the municipal code, and defends the Village from lawsuits including civil liability.
