Public invited to comment on proposed regulations

The Community Design Commission will take public comment on proposed design regulations that would govern all work within the Village's commercial and business districts, as well as larger multiple-family residential buildings of more than four units. The proposed regulations would apply both to new construction and exterior renovation of existing buildings. Village creating design regulations for new construction and renovations

The Village of Oak Park is creating design regulations that would apply both to new construction and exterior renovation of existing buildings. The regulations would govern all work within the Village's commercial and business districts as well as larger multiple-family residential buildings of more than three units.

Members of the the Plan Commission, Community Design Commission, Historic Preservation Commission and the Business Association Council have reviewed the proposed design regulations prepared by Village staff as an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance.
