Community Relations Department
Neighborhood Programs Initiated in July of 2001, the neighborhood programs under the Community Relations Department focuses on building sound relationships within neighborhoods and assisting in neighborhood revitalization efforts. Development of neighborhood leadership along with special programs that enhance community connectivity among residents and between residents and Village government is the priority of this program. Staff is available to provide technical assistance in the development of long-term neighborhood based strategic plans that complement village-wide planning efforts. Trained staff is available to facilitate presentations to neighborhood groups, associations and other public groups. Resident training in community outreach, conflict management, resource brokering and neighborhood relations is a goal of this program.
