Community Relations Department
About the Department The Community Relations Department enforces the Village's Human Rights Ordinance and Fair Housing Policy, as well as promotes the Racial Diversity Policy and enforcement activities including auditing real estate transactions and investigating complaints. The department encourages block organizing, community safety and multi-cultural training by linking community agencies and groups. Community Services also provides general information and referral services to residents, conducts training for block organizing, mediates landlord/tenant and neighbor disputes, responds to neighborhood quality of life issues, provides resident training in community outreach and coordinates block parties.
