Community Relations Commission:

The Community Relations Commission was created in 1963 to assure all residents of equal service and treatment. The Commission works to improve inter-group relations without regard to race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, veteran status, sexual orientation, age, marital status, familial status or disability. It works to ensure good human, race and community relations and reduce tensions, and acts as a hearing panel for resolution of discrimination. The Commission's 13 members each serve three-year terms. Meets at 7:15 p.m., the third Wednesday of each month unless otherwise posted - please review agendas below to confirm times, dates and locations. If you require assistance to participate in any Village program or activity, contact the ADA Coordinator at 708.358,5430 or e-mail adacoordinator@oak-park.us at least 48 hours before the scheduled activity.
