Plan Review If a major addition or new building project is
being contemplated, a property owner may request a review of plans for
the building. If a property owner is not ready to begin, a plan review
can assist in determining whether plans are feasible under Village code.
A plan review completed prior to applying for a building permit can speed
up the process by providing on opportunity to adjust plans to meet Village
codes, such setbacks, fire safety, public health and other building code
requirements. A plan review may take two to four weeks depending on the
complexity of the project and the number of pending applications at the
time of submission.
