Property Standards Division
Housing Inspections Residential buildings of four or more dwelling units are inspected on a routine basis once every two years. At this biennial inspection, the building, including the interior of one-third of its rental units, is inspected. Building and Property Standards Department inspectors document and request correction of any apparent violations of the Village's Housing Code and nuisance standards. Any building on the property and the premises surrounding the buildings, including the alley area, also are inspected for compliance with the pertinent sections of the Village code. The department inspects the common areas of condominium buildings.
