Community Relations Commission Mission: The Community Relations Commission was established to assure all residents of equal service and treatment. The Commission works to improve inter-group relations without regard to race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, veteran status, sexual orientation, age, marital status, familial status or disability. It works to ensure good human, race and community relations and reduce tensions, and acts as a hearing panel for resolution of discrimination. Membership: 9 members Qualifications: Two members of the Commission shall be attorneys with experience in housing law, employment law, housing or employment discrimination, civil rights or other related areas of the law. Length of Term: 3-year term Meeting Schedule: Meets at 7:15 p.m., the third Wednesday of each month at Village Hall, 123 Madison St. If you require assistance to participate in any Village program or activity, contact the ADA Coordinator at 708.358.5430 or e-mail adacoordinator@oak-park.us at least 48 hours before the scheduled activity.
